Evaluation: We first test for the presence of substances of abuse in your system, measuring their concentration as well as screening for co-occurring mental and physical conditions. At Newportonehealth, this evaluation further includes a comprehensive assessment of your medical and psychological conditions as well as your current social situation to help determine the appropriate level of treatment following detoxification.
Stabilization: Once evaluated, you will enter the stabilization phase of treatment. During this phase, pharmacological (medication) and psychosocial interventions will be utilized to assist you through the acute intoxication and withdrawal process progressing into a medically stable, fully-supported, substance-free state. This is often accomplished with the assistance of medications to ensure your medical safety and minimize discomfort. However, when someone has been addicted to drugs or alcohol, the body may not be capable of detoxifying completely without assistance. Substances like heroin, cocaine or meth often stay in the body’s system for days. Example with Heroin, withdrawal symptoms can begin as soon as six hours after the last dose and may last up to seven days. We provide a safe detox environment for helping our patients addiction to heroin or other drugs in a way that eases you off the drugs without sending your body into shock. We work with many addictions and substance abuse such alcohol, drugs involving Methamphetamine, prescription medications, heroin, Krokodil, cocaine, PCP, Bath Salts, Oxycodone, Alprazolam,Tobacco, Phentermine, GHB, LSD, opium and more.
Many facilities for outpatient substance abuse do not allow you to stay or provide meals. We have a specialized program we know you will love. At Top level care, insurance companies require 3 hours of treatment, at least 3 days per week. The intensive outpatient programs at Newportonehealth occurs 3 hours a day 5 days a week. Many programs do not provide room and board at this level, but NewportoneHealth on average insurance companies authorize 24 or more sessions at this level of care. Medications involving substance abuse can be difficult in the beginning to treat on your own. That is why detoxification, the process by which the body clears itself of the drug is needed for substance abuse. Because this process can be unpleasant and potentially dangerous, medications need to be administered by a physician at our treatment center. Once the body is rid of the substance long term treatment is needed by our outpatient substance abuse center. At our substance abuse facility we will focus on developing responsibilities as well as socially productive lives. We examine damaging beliefs, self-concepts involving the intensive substance abuse patterns.
